Why do they always strike innocent people while all the crooks,
murderers and politicians are spared ?
    That isn't fair .

innocence has hot nothing to do with getting struck by lightning. it's all about being at the wrong place at the wrong time. over the last few weeks the met department has been advising the public as to how to prevent lightning injuries. if those so called innocent people stood by the instructions this would never have happened.

    Dear Ranjith,
Very true . The sad side is, if they abandon their work and take shelter in a sturdy building, each time when thunder is heard, soon you have to feed their families. Further, most of them have to walk 5-10 km to get a safe shelter against lightning.
    Practical???????

Blessed we are if we die in natural disasters rather than man made ones like poverty, racial conflict and political violence inc. rampant corruption and crime unchecked! _The victims may know that shouldn't go out while lightning strikes but poverty or want of dire needs pressing that they would have been forced by_
