Indian Shipping Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Pon Radhakrishnan has said that India would also fine Sri Lankan fishermen if Sri Lankan government imposes heavy fines on Indian fishermen for poaching in its territorial waters.

“If reports of the Sri Lankan government wanting to heavily fine Indian fishermen who transgressed into its territorial waters are true, the Indian government too may have to take similar measures,” Mr. Radhakrishnan has told the reporters after meeting with DMK leader M. Thats okay all culprits must be punished.. but Lanka is up on the deal because, not many Lankan fishermen go to Indian waters. The only reason that Indians are coming here is due to over fishing in Indian waters and there are no more fish. Stop stealing the natural resources which are the rightful property of the Lankan people, specially from the north.
