Father’s body recovered from Nilwala River

The body of the man who is alleged to have thrown his two daughters to the Nilwala River yesterday was recovered from the same river a short while ago, the police said.

The body was recovered by army divers from Matara. The police suspected that he might have jumped into the river after throwing his two kids, who were rescued by four valiant soldiers. (Supun Dias)
