So why did they attack fashion bug?? A monk as seen on videos, breaks the CCTV in fashion bug while police stare at them like its entertainment. How can you justify that? Why the CCTV?? Why burn the whole fashion bug building down when it has no relation to the main story as the article says?? The story is twisting around. Its a deviation, this can only make matters worse. What they would do now is campaign against this man, because he's a muslim and bring new issues. It seems like a cover up to hide what the monks did.

Now the media is twisting the tale, this is a major plan by GR and BBS to get rid of Muslim businesses so that others will have an easy business run.Already many honest tax paying Muslim business people are living in fear. What a country ....no future.

ISHAN : same as your thought, if it is a love affair or else it should be delt with the police, when a police complain is already exist WHY & HOW can a mob attack come, as well why to be gathered in a temple, which makes to understand it is been organised or originated from the temple, why the temple authorities or monks initially advice the mob to refrain and make attempt or inform with police if it is not under them. It is all evident that something through temple which confirms with a monk also involved shamely in the attack throwing a stone at the building confirming temple involvement,, shame on police in uniform in presence looking as a carnival without apprehending the monk and dispersing anybody. It is sure that now a politician will confront and will sought with political and no one will be charged and released. Finally medial will come out saying ALL UNDER CONTROL and ACTION WILL BE TAKEN...... finally it be will end of story and damage to FB.
Nadi Karunaratne Saturday, 30 March 2013 02:31 PM
This doesn't add up - the people are dim but we are not completely stupid. We need the media to show courage at times like this - who else is their to defend us?
Thomas Saturday, 30 March 2013 03:53 PM
What happened to the CCTV recordings, they will show who were in action at Fashion Bug. All must be brought before Justice & punished. GOSL is responsible for the safety of all citizens of S/L

Is it correct to destroy anything by taking law into ones hands? Should not the course of law take its route via the Police? Is the country become a third rate lawless country?
TreeHorse Friday, 29 March 2013 01:42 PM
I think this has gone beyond control. Police should regardless whether the parties involved, be it common man or clergy. Why isn't president commenting on this?
Publik Abilik Friday, 29 March 2013 01:44 PM
Make up your mind. An earlier report said Police were watching while the siege was going on. Now what is the police doing 'waiting for breakthrough'? will that fall out of the sky into their laps?
SureshP Friday, 29 March 2013 01:45 PM
If it is a Backhoe yard or Fashion Bug, does it justify a mob to take the law in to their hands? Why did the Police do nothing till about a one hour attack. Why do people try to justify such deeds?
Black Friday, 29 March 2013 01:52 PM
End of the story... thanks to you our defence secretary. You should be our next president. So our country can go back to the dark era again.

Firstly, what business do civilians have attacking a clothing store that has no significance to the alleged rape? Secondly, why was the monk who was throwing stones and damaging property not arrested when there is video evidence that he did so? And thirdly, why is daily mirror lk not reporting that a monk attacked the clothing store when there is video evidence of said monk committing such act? This shows how the daily mirror dances to the tune of the govt. and indeed does not report the truth! SHAME ON YOU! via DM Android App
