Sri Lankan High Commissioner Prasad Kariyawasam on Wednesday rejected claims made by a documentary that showed LTTE's chief Prabhakaran's son dead with five bullet wounds and said the photos in the documentary are "morphed".

He added the documentary was the propaganda of LTTE backers and that the Sri Lankan military did not kill Prabhakaran's 12-year-old son.
"Prabhakaran's son could have been killed in crossfire while he was in a little bunker. There is no need for an international probe," Kariyawasam said in an interview to CNN-IBN.

A British documentary had earlier shown photos of the late LTTE chief's son being fed while in the Sri Lankan government's custody. The next set of pictures show him shot dead with five bullet wounds.

The Sri Lankan High Commissioner added the 12-year-old boy could was not executed by the military.

"Indian Tamil leaders should visit Sri Lanka to see progress. There is no Ealam. Sentiment in Tamil Nadu is worrying. We cannot tell India how to vote in Geneva. It is a responsible regional power," Kariyawasam said.

The documentary 'No Fire Zone' has set off a new round of protests over alleged human rights violation by Sri Lanka forces during 2009. Groups like Human Rights Watch and Amnesty now are demanding that the film be taken up by the United Nations as evidence.

Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on Wednesday condemned the alleged killing of LLTE chief Prabhakarans son by the Sri Lankan army and demanded that the matter should be tried in International Court as a war crime. She said the evidences presented in a British TV channel documentary that has sparked global anger reveal the mindset of the current Sri Lankan government.

The documentary had earlier shown photos of the late LTTE chief's son being fed while in the Sri Lankan government's custody. The next set of pictures show him shot dead with five bullet wounds.

"I call upon the Central government to work with other nations and draft a resolution to be passed in UN. We want the government to ensure that all involved in war crimes in Sri Lanka be tried in International Court," the Tamil Nadu Chief and AIADMK supremo said.

She said the evidences presented in a documentary reveal the mindset of the current Sri Lankan government.

"It's an inhumane act. He (Prabhakaran's son) was just a child," Jayalalithaa said. The documentary 'No Fire Zone' has set off a new round of protests over alleged human rights violation by Sri Lanka forces during 2009. Groups like Human Rights Watch and Amnesty now are demanding that the film be taken up by the United Nations as evidence.

Meanwhile, DMK chief Karunanidhi demanded that the Centre comes clean on the upcoming vote in Geneva. "When even countries like America can come forward to condemn Sri Lanka for their war crimes, the Indian government should come forward and not defend or protect Sri Lanka. This is what people of Tamil Nadu want," he said.

SL government continuously denies from the beginning. First it was "zero casualties" then when cornered with facts "ok we killed some". SL while the whole world was laughing, called its war as "humanitarian operation"... The point is, we do not know what is lying with Channel IV. They may have proof to nail SL to the point even SL will accept denying is foolish and ludicrous. Our country is beginning to be being labeled as a pariah state.

Would like Ms. Jayalalitha to explain why she was silent when the LTTE conscripted all those Tamil children into their fighting units and got them killed in combat.

If this child had decent parents who cared he should have been at school on that day and he would be alive today. Besides, he could have been a killer child soldier, like so many others recruited by the racist LTTE terrorists and sent on suicide missions.

One less racist suicide bomber is worth a lot of innocent lives. Violence has been brought to an end by the Sri Lankan heroes. Bad luck for loosers!
