Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had decided to reduce the entrance fee to the New Delhi National Museum for Sri Lankans after taking into the consideration that a large number of Sri Lankans were visiting the museum to pay homage to the Kapilavastu Relics.

In pursuance of the Prime Minister’s announcement, the entry fee to the National Museum for Sri Lankan nationals has been reduced and brought on par with the fee paid by Indian nationals.

The new rates will come into effect from April 1, 2015.

Sri Lankans will thereafter have to pay a nominal entry fee,( INR 10 against INR 300 currently charged from them) to view the rich and varied collection at the New Delhi National Museum.  Sri Lanka is the only country to be accorded this special status.

I think this is not news worthy. It is more symbolic. Only a very few Sri Lankans would benefit from this

Ask Tamilnadu to stop stealing our fishing crops worth billion dollars. This would make more sense to Lankans than reduced muesem fees.

Wow. How many Srilankans visit the Delhi museum daily? For that matter how many of them travel to New Delhi anyway? Now India will ask SriLanka to reduce entry fee to the Dehiwala Zoo for Indians.

Why do we have to go down to such a low level for Indika. Is it a main benifit we are going to get from Presidents trip to India..what is the significant achievement they have got through..we do not know what is there in the nuclear deal and it could well be a very highlevel strategic agreement and nothing concrete..funny thing is America has liked..this is all about US and India agenda agaist China and we are being used to the maximum..As modi expressed in his first speech he wants to build the dominance of India in Saarc and we are playing the ideal role for him..I am sure Modi did not want a storng leader like Mahinda which could have been an obstacle to that domination..I have a feeling Modi is a strong Ego guy ( even though what he shows off is different) and it will show off in time to come and we may be too late in realizing that ...We have gone back to the days where we are bending in front of all so called major power houses..working cordially and bending is two different things...
