Emergency was extended by another month in parliament today with 120 members voting for and 38 against. The UNP and JVP voted against the extension while UNP MP Abdul Cader voted with the government. (KB&YP)

Law of the land does not allow extending more than 30 days and moreover let them visit parliament atleast once a month.
