WELL SAID- LANKAN LION-WHY THEY NEED EMMERGENGY NOW- SINCE THE WAR IS OVER MORE THAN ONE YEAR- JUST TO CARRY OUT THEIR JUNGLE LAW UNDER THE PRETEXT OF EMMERGNCY REGULATIONS

Emergency, as we all know, is to threaten and harrass political opponents as that is the war that is going on now in the country.

if there are is no LTTE or war.. what is the purpose? cops abuse and harrass innocent people because of this.
it is time to take off emergency law and bring in death sentence. that will be more practical.

Shame on those 100 MPs who voted for the extension of the Emergency. They have sold their souls to the devil!

Emergency laws only empower rulers to violate human rights and take revenge on groups opposed to them. Extending such laws has already resulted in our losing the GSP+ facility.
