Embassy official drowned

A Saudi national attached to the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Colombo as an accountant died due to a heart attack this evening, while he was taking a dip in the swimming pool of an apartment complex in Bambalapitiya, Police Spokesman SP Ajith Rohana said.

43-year-old Saudi Arabian national Hussain Muhsin was a resident of this apartment complex, and had been found unconscious in the swimming pool, by his four-year-old son.

The patient was rushed to a private hospital after calling the police emergency unit, but he was pronounced dead on admission to hospital. (Sanath Desmond)
