Responsibility of the Swimming Coach to keep a watchful eye on the kids under his/her care. If too many students to be handled, then an Assistant or two should be recruited.

Total irresponsibility on the part of the coach or the teachers in charge of these students. Also a child doesn't drown in seconds, what was happening that no one rescued him, especially if he was there for swimming training??

Why not lifegaurds were monitoring the pool during active hours? Every school/club who maintains a swimming pool should have employed qulified lifeguards and follow relavent safety procedures to save innocent lives.
