‘Efforts will be made to avoid a division’

UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake said a while ago that all efforts are being made to resolve the leadership issue without going for a vote.  Mr. Attanayake told a news conference today that positive signs are emerging from all groups within the party.

He said the fate of the parry would be decided today by the working committee and the parliamentary group that will meet together at 4pm today. (YP)
