DS assaulted over flood aid

Hundreds of residents affected by floods in Batticaloa today forcefully entered the Divisional Secretariat in Arayampathy and assaulted and injured three officials including the Divisional Secretary in the area, alleging misappropriation of flood aid.

The injured officials were admitted to the hospital for treatment. (JK.)

    we cannot let the people take the law onto their hands!!! if the DS has misappropriated Flood aid then he must be dealt with by the law!!! but if they have got little aid it is a separate issue!!
