Truth is easily elicited from a drunk person. So his evidence could not have been untrue.

The court is out of the three pillars that make the administration.

Elections may not be 100% free and fair, but both the legislature and executive are elected, can be criticized, has a limited term before re-election.

But why only the judiciary considered so holy? It can't be criticized, people have to honor the judges like they are gods, and it is not easy to take action against bad judges.

I think the power of judges are more dangerous to the society than the executive presidency.
