Nihal Amarasekera Friday, 01 March 2013 10:38 AM
Great personality; we learnt a lot listening to your explanations & observations participating in “Doramadalawa” ITN programme. May your samsaric journey be shortened; may you attain the supreme bliss of Nirvana soon.
It’s a pity that even in a news item of a death of a most eminent personality some choose to argue & make psychotics comment in the most inhuman way. Hate commenting seems the order of the day.

Dr Rayes Friday, 01 March 2013 11:47 AM
I was one of the fortunate medical student to learn psychiatry from him 20 years ago in Karapitiya hospital. More than a psychiatrist he was a nice human being. Never in my life I have seen a consultant while teaching medical students treating them with tea everyday half way through teaching, I was one of those lucky student.
As a student of him I not only learned psychiatry and hypnotism and more importantly he taught us how to be a nice doctor He showed great empathy and was very kind with his patients. He was the most friendly consultant a student could approach without hesitation. Ego of being a consultant did not distance students from him and he was a father figure for us. I missed him ever since I left his ward in 1992.
My sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.

Anton's comment reiterates the gravity of Dr Harischandra's loss. Because Dr Harischandra would've been the best person to cure Anton.

Nobody lives for ever. Just because they are doctors does not mean they are Gods. We all will die one day. Nobody knows how and when. His time had come to go and no doctor could have saved him. We all wish we would die of a heart attack. I think we should accumulate a lot of merit to die the way he did. More than a good doctor he was a humble man.
Sampath Friday, 01 March 2013 06:10 AM

Burul Friday, 01 March 2013 07:25 AM
ANTON you are a fool.
1) He was a psychiatrist and not a cardiologist.
2) Even the best doctor on earth could have a heart attack and die.
3) Do you expect a doctor to live for ever, you idiot ?
4) Don't be disrespectful to a person who has just passed away.
