The Polit Bureau and the Central Committee of the Democratic People’s Front (DPF) will meet tomorrow to take its final decision on the party's future relations with the United National Party (UNP), DPF Leader Mano Ganesan told Daily Mirror online.

“We will meet tomorrow afternoon and make our final decision,” Mano Ganesan said.

The DPF yesterday announced that it has split from the United National Front (UNF) over the failure by the Opposition Leader Ranil Wickramasinghe to allocate a national list slot for the DPF Leader who had lost the recent General Elections.

DPF National Organiser and brother of Mano Ganesan, Member of Parliament Prabha Ganesan told Daily Mirror online that the party had run into problems with the UNF when the opposition had finalized its national list slots for parliament on Wednesday and therefore decided to split from the alliance.

Daily Mirror online learns that the DPF has been having discussions with the government after the latter learnt of the party’s decision to split from the opposition and invited them to join the UPFA.

After all what has been said and done about Mano Ganeshan, if he joins the govt the people who branded him as an LTTEer will call him a patriot. On the other hand the public who votes for these politicians, who takes descisions solely for their benefit are left out to dry.

Mano! Tamils voted for you, not for joining the UPFA Government and make your wealth. The same people voted for you in Colombo wouldn't hesitate to kick you out from politics next time.

    Friday, 23 April 2010 09:00 AM

Mano, you must go for an alliance with the TNA and SLMC.That would be wise.Or else you willsurely lose the next elections.Look at your target market!
