Doctors in Colombo on strike

All members of the GMOA(Government Medical officers'  Association) in the Colombo district hospitals launched trade union action over an incident at Lunawa hospital, a spokesman for the GMOA said.

    When one really goes into all these strikes, it is obvious that iif the law enforcement authorities do their duty ptomptly and without fear regardless of whether the perpetrators have political protection, then valuable time wasted can be saved for benefit of the country and its people.     Not to worry. Get Dr. Mervyn Silva to deal with the striking Doctors. If worse comes to the worst, he can announce that f the striking Doctors don't call off the strike, being a Doctor, he will start treating the patients. That should send a very strong message to the Doctors, and............., patients also!
