Delay in train services

Train services have been disrupted due to a strike launched by a group of engine drivers operating power sets, sources said.

It was reported that they had not reported for work today due to a dispute among the staff.

Due to the strike, the train services in all the railway lines may be delayed, sources said.

    In all the time All the trains in Sri Lanka never run according to the time tables. Drivers Guards SM's never ever trying to run them on time.
    Every year SL get rains but from so many years Railway say trains delaying due to signal errors. Why this establishment is for. Number of Train imported but still they cant run them on time and passenger friendly manner.
    They should be shot. !!!!!

    This is totally an un-wanted strike at a crucial stage. Power set engine drivers, please don't play games, re-collect the old memories what has happened in the past while you guys went on strike. Be , careful, you guys should know - enough and enough of Freedom fighters (Army) is ready to operate the trains now.

    it is not the railway service which was one time,we as comuters enjoyed travelling in trains from child hood days and now the srvices have become a total wreck! travelling in trains is not my option.
