Defence secretary order

Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa this evening ordered security officials to give special security during the night at all mosques in the country during the holy month of Ramadan, with effect from this evening.

He gave this order when he met representatives from the All Ceylon Jamiyathul Ullama (ACJU) led by M.Mubarak Moulavi and the Muslim Council of Sri Lanka (MCSL) led by N.M.Ameen on the invitation of the Defence Secretary at the Defence Ministry today.
 
Meanwhile, the Defence Secretary is to meet the representatives of ACJU and Mosque federations in Ampara, Batticalao, Trincomale, Kurunagala, Kandy and Puttlam tomorrow. (Rifthi Ali)
