CP schools closed tomorrow

A decision has been made to close schools in the Central Province tomorrow due to the prevailing heavy rain and flood conditions in the province, Central Province (CP) Director of Education Mr. Wijesiri Herath said

Several roads in the area have been inundated and due to the prevailing bad weather a decision has been made to close the school on Monday taking into consideration the safety of the school children, Central Province Director of Education Mr. Wijesiri Herath said.

The decision was made after directions were received from the Chief Minister of the Central Province Sarath Ekanayake.

The schools will recommence on Tuesday after a collective decision is taken by the Principles of the respective schools. (J.A.L Jayasignhe)
