What goes around is coming around now. The general deserves everything he gets. Sri Lankans have spoken, they voted for MR again showing they do not side with SF. We sri Lankans think he should be in jail.

    Hail General

    Tuesday, 25 May 2010 07:48 AM

It is India who created the rift between SF and MR and it will end only when India has almost made a colony of Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is still archaic - we are still following the Army Act of 1948 - which was formulated just after WWII. We need to change to be in line with the global village of modern times - then there was no guerilla ware fare - now there is terrorism and guerilla warfare, in addition to nuclear and chemical warefare. So we have to change this law to suit the law of today,.

    Tuesday, 25 May 2010 03:07 AM

Are we dancing to India's tunes with this court martial drama by any chance? They were behind the ltte so why not behind the destruction of the man who brought it to an end.

This scene is good for a Film / Teledrama / Stage Director to start off with his / her next creation. I don't know where do we stand as a Nation - Not another nominal nation, A nation where Load Buddha has visited and the Buddhism is the Main Religion.

never ending story until SF died or END of MR period.

    Tuesday, 25 May 2010 12:39 AM

What an ungreatful nation we have been. This is what ANAgarika dharmapala said about sinhalaya many years ago still valid even today.
Srilank'a biggest problem was not LTTE its our attitude that is why we have not made a tangible progress economicaaly, moraaly and in terms of international acceptance since the war is over.
Long way to go but the signs of the generation are deadly keep the fingures crossed . people can approve any unjustice or a dirty work for survival and for prejudice.

Please remember that 'what goes around, comes around.' Let the war hero SF, live in peace.

    Monday, 24 May 2010 07:25 PM

    This becomes a joke now.

    Monday, 24 May 2010 07:23 PM

Is he the ONLY 'criminal'; aren't there any others?

    Monday, 24 May 2010 06:02 PM

This is PATHETIC! Is this how to respect our war heroes?

    Monday, 24 May 2010 05:35 PM

    Harassment, of a war hero!

    Monday, 24 May 2010 05:24 PM

A person who did 'all the hard work,' is behind bars, just because he stood against MR. GOD BLESS SRI LANKA!

    Monday, 24 May 2010 04:38 PM

Another "AUNG SAANG SUKI" case ... the Genaral, will not be released ...

    Monday, 24 May 2010 04:33 PM

This episode stinks! We are fed-up of reading this, time and again. Release SF, and let him live a normal life.

    Monday, 24 May 2010 04:23 PM

Sri Lankan military uses old English, European laws which are out dated in the modern world. Dragging SF case is a result of such poorly practiced military laws. Based on the public votes (laws are invalid in front of the public votes) in favor to SF, SF must be released. He is still a young guy who can bring good things to the lives of the people of Sri Lanka. I did not vote for him. I believe ex military men should stay away from Sri Lankan politics...good for them, good for the people. Militarizing of politics bad for the country. need to get an exit fast here.
