General Fonseka should be treated better than this. A person who killed hundreds of Sinhala policemen is having a better position in the Govt. You all know who he is, and that is Karuna.
Ruwan Monday, 28 June 2010 06:45 AM
Pollitison's runed our country, only few great hearos like GF saved our country, do not worry sir your day will come soon.....
Rahmathullah Monday, 28 June 2010 07:21 AM
A fitting instruction from the learned judge. We are proud still we have some judges with backbones!
nikita Monday, 28 June 2010 07:30 AM
unless he hang inside in his cell (Like with most cases) he will not let alone. or may be still suicide bombers are there which govt think might do the job. What a country
avinash Monday, 28 June 2010 07:55 AM
time is a healer, lets wait everybody. its all happening under the sun.

"A WAR HERO WHO EVENTUALLY BETRAYED HIS COUNTRY & CONTINUES TO DO SO - WILL RECEIVE HIS JUST REWARDS A PURPLE HEART POSTHUMOUSLY."
SArath Fernando Monday, 28 June 2010 08:08 AM
It is very Correct reentlt Government Own MP Mr. Disanayake said you have to respect to the people. If the Government do wrong people in th country will never get corrected. The country will go to dogs then.
Mohammed Monday, 28 June 2010 09:17 AM
Whereas, Karuna is well looked after by the tax payers and enjoing life to the fullest. What a funny Lanka!
Kalu Arachchi Monday, 28 June 2010 09:27 AM
It is amazing to note the number of responses to General Fonseka related news articles. The numbers are staggering. Compare the news just prior to this. It showa who general public is supporting to.
faizalsamsu Monday, 28 June 2010 06:39 AM
during a period like SF, army had a gud discipline n public respect them... When weak people are in big posts in the Army dis is wat happen... Army loses their disciplines...
J Monday, 28 June 2010 09:57 AM
This is the way satisfied by someone. They know if any fair trial, SF will not be charge.
POL MAMA Monday, 28 June 2010 10:32 AM

Upul Monday, 28 June 2010 11:03 AM
KP and the rest are enjoying life while we so caled Sinhala majoroty is treating the hero like an animal.

sanka Monday, 28 June 2010 11:28 AM
Please release him, it's enough what you have given. Let him do politics freely.
jagath Monday, 28 June 2010 12:03 PM
Many write here Fonseka a hero. I never heard about heros who does arms deals, hide Son-in-law from courts, chair arms tender bords knowing his son in law is also a bidder, spend nice time in China on a holiday with whole family on a tour paid by Chinese arms dealer on the very crucial days of LTTE war whilst thousand of solderiers are getting killed in the front. Did you?
Amal Monday, 28 June 2010 12:20 PM
Yes Jagath, many write like that because they have brains unlike you. You are a disgrace to the human race.
suba Monday, 28 June 2010 03:08 PM
@ Jagath. Arms deals? Have they been proved? Besides SF, do you know any other people - Ministers, MPs, Chair persons of Corporations having holidays in China and other countries around the world?
Once the charges are found to be true, then you can talk. Just don't speculate.
So, you have heard of arms deals of non heroes? Report them, you patriot.!!!
Wasantha Monday, 28 June 2010 05:44 AM
The way they treat a war hero shows the caliber of these people.Let the courts decide whether he is guilty or not. Keep in mind that people are not deaf and blind.
Calistus Jayatilleke Monday, 28 June 2010 05:11 AM
The longer we treat a hero in this shabby manner, the more we get isolated from the civilised world with worse repurcussions.
citizen1 Monday, 28 June 2010 05:22 AM
Give the man a break! Come on! Even fanatical supporters of the govt can see that this is beyond ridiculous.
willows Monday, 28 June 2010 05:30 AM
Is this the way we show our gratitude towards the hero who rescued all the sri lankans from the imminent death
Sena2 Monday, 28 June 2010 05:32 AM
The General is in Army custody and not in remand prison. Thus, there is no rational basis for him to taken to the Court in a prison bus. The Magistrate's order directing the Army to do that using an army vehicle with appropriate security is quite in order and lolgical.
Mohamed Shafraz Monday, 28 June 2010 05:35 AM
Responsible officers should be punished for not obeying previous courts order to give proper security to SF
Saradial Monday, 28 June 2010 05:36 AM
Courts has to teach army how to provide proper security.
Zero Monday, 28 June 2010 05:38 AM
I don't think he deserve this but he asked for it!
Wijebahu Monday, 28 June 2010 05:39 AM
Cowboys Who are runing the country. How long you are going to harass this War hero?. I fully support EU and UN till you get this facts right.
malkanthi Monday, 28 June 2010 05:02 AM
He is probably going through a time of self-grooming to become a better democratic future leader!
Arshad Monday, 28 June 2010 05:56 AM
A war hero should be treated with great respect .
Kumar Wijayasekara Monday, 28 June 2010 05:57 AM
I fully agree with Wijebahu. God bless our war hero.

bash Monday, 28 June 2010 06:17 AM
This shows that the SL army does not have any intelligent person to lead as commander, GOD SAVE THIS COUNTRY FROM POLITICAL PUPPETS
Roshan Monday, 28 June 2010 06:25 AM
Slowly the Govt is realising his importance as he may be called upon for evidence by the UN panel which has to be favourable.
Thomas Monday, 28 June 2010 06:32 AM
