Over one hundred thousand rupees in counterfeit notes, in thousand and two thousand rupee denominations were recovered by the police after two suspects were arrested for using a counterfeit two thousand rupee note to pay for fuel in Narangoda.
Thirty eight notes in thousand rupee denominations and 31 notes in two thousand rupee denominations were recovered from the two suspects and the police are conducting further investigations.
