Museum robbery:CID ordered to produce suspects

Colombo Chief Magistrate Rashmi Singappuli ordered the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to produce three suspects who had been arrested in connection with museum robbery and kept under detention orders.

The Chief Magistrate made this order following lawyers made an application that three persons have been kept without producing before court. They said violating the fundamental rights three suspects M. Ajith Kumara, R. P. Suranga Janakantha and M. T. Shanmuganewar Chandrasekara have been detained for several days.
