China has agreed to assist Sri Lanka to evacuate Lankans stranded in Yemen following a request by the Lankan government, the Chinese Embassy in Colombo said today.

Both India and China have huge resources and military vessels and aircraft to play with,Sri Lanka has nothing in comparison,and hence it has to ask friendly Chinese nation for assistance.Cannot depend on India.
