Chief Organizer for the UNP Suduwella Electorate Kithsiri Rajapakse, assumed to have been abducted earlier this evening in Maradana, is in the custody of the Terrorist Investigations Department (TID) according to Senior Police Media Spokesman DIG Nimal Madiweka.
The Special Task Force (STF) has accused Mr. Rajapakse of being involved in organized crime in the Suduwella area and arrested him at around 5pm today.

Eye witnesses at the scene, including Mr. Rajapakse’s wife told Daily Mirror Online that an "unidentified group" with their faces covered, stormed Mr. Rajapakse’s office and took him by force at around 5pm today.  A tensed situation later arose in the area.
