Asian election monitors are calling for a voter registration audit if claims by local elections monitors of fraud in the counting of votes and disfranchisement of voters are true.

Foreign observer and Mission Director of the Asian Network for Free Election (ANFREL), Ichal Supriady told Daily Mirror online that the accepted methodology of proving that the voter list is clean or dirty would be sorted by a voter registration audit.

A delegation of ANFREL election observers were in Sri Lanka on invitation by the People’s Action for Free and Fair Elections (PAFFREL).

One can audit, but if there are people who cannot count or who can make numbers, magically, appear and disappear, then what is the point of auditing?

Recheck the computerized data entry collection/collation process! The declared margins are ridiculous, right across the board. Sample counts should also be taken to check the accuracy of the reported results - it will take only one day for this!

There are so many allegations against the counting, as well as declaring, of final tallys! Please cross-check the results obtained at counting centres, against those released to the public.

This must be done. district wise all voter registers which tick the voters name must be tallied with the istrict total. If there is any inconsistancy, easily it will be known. Fraud victory.
