CAA rejects gas price increase request

A request by private gas companies to increase domestic (LPG) gas prices have been turned down by the Consumer Affairs Authority.

The Association Chairman Rumy Marzook said the CAA would not allow the gas companies to increase prices as there had been a decrease in global gas prices. (Chaturanga Pradeep)

    another blow to the stomach. As it is gas is 2,480/- which is a high price. Very soon we will have to revert to the firewood era once again. Think of the consumers before increasing prices instead of only the company's benefit.

    Never allow gas prices to go up as Laughfs Gas is providing wrong accounts to CAA to get the price increase. All their losses due to bad decisions are burden on people. Stupid politicians talk only about the price increase. They never check the validity of the price increase and reasons. This where all governments went wrong. This is how beggers become millionairs by cheating public.
