Video: Britain keen on better relations with all stakeholders

British High Commissioner John Rankin referring to the LLRC action plan said Britain looked forward to the progress made in the building relationships between the Police and the people and harnessing the potential of the Lankan diaspora.

Mr. Rankin made these comments while aswering questions on the series, “Ask the High Commissioner” aired on the High Commission’s YouTube video portal.

“The LLRC action plan contains a number of useful recommendations which can support and strengthen the development of Sri Lanka. For example the recommendation in support of building relations between the communities and the Police and harnessing the potential of Sri Lankan worldwide Diaspora in a positive manner. We look forward to progress in these areas,” he said.

    Any decisions should be made locally without interference from outsiders. Past shows help from outside always comes with many strings attached and ulterior motives not to the benefit of SL.
