Outsiders would not be allowed to enter Arrivals Lounge at the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake for five hours due to a large crowd gathered at the airport to welcome MP Basil Rajapaksa, reporter said.

However, the BIA Duty Manager had said the Lounge was closed due to “technical failure.”

“The BIA Arrivals Lounge had been closed for an hour due to a technical failure and it will back to normal within few minutes. However, passengers would be able to come without any difficulty”, he said.
