Bad weather closes school in N’Eliya

Tomorrow will be a holiday for all schools in the Nuwara Eliya district due to the adverse weather conditions.

Speaking to Daily Mirror the Chief Minister Sarath Ekanayake’s coordinating secretary Tharanga Bandara said that the decision was taken to ensure the safety of the children as adverse weather conditions are prevailing in Nuwara Eliya.

In addition to the schools in Nuwara Eliya, the Gothami Girls School in Kandy is to be closed today and tomorrow owing to the weather conditions. (Sarasi Paranamanna)
