Congress on Tuesday described as "most unfortunate" the attack on Sri Lankan pilgrims in Tamil Nadu by activists of Tamil outfits and said the government is "very firm" that these kind of incidents do not recur.

"It is most unfortunate. It should not happen. Government is very firm that these kind of things do not happen," party spokesman PC Chacko said.

He said the AICC General Secretary in-charge of Tamil Nadu was seized of the matter and the party would get back when its views are formulated. (PTI)

Hope it doesn't happen but Indians coming for the 20/20 could be doled out similar treatment. If it does occur will India consider it an 'unfortunate incident'?

These well chosen words can be uttered by anyone who can speak. Would Congress put their words into positive action? Doubt it. Disgraceful!

Whatever they do we Sri Lankans must not follow their path. Give them abondence of compassion, loving kindness and empathy. Sinhalese are highly civilized race with human values and all encompassing brotherhood to all nationalities whatever their race, colour and creed. We don't practise caste system nor Brakmana attitudes to our fellow human brethren. That's why Buddha has preached a doctrine - without a God business. Whenever there is God business involve - man become animal. Why? He does not possess his own mind! Man without his mind in control is a brutal animal

That's all the Congress can say because what is "most unfortunatge" is the Central Government has given in to the thuggery of a cheap film actress and abdicated its responsibility.
