ALL THE MORE REASON THE ARMY SHOULD NOT BUDGE FROM THE NORTH.

IN FACT THE STRENGHT SHOULD BE INCREASED AND THE NAVY AS WELL.

    Friday, 18 June 2010 04:41 AM

Yes, the govt should keep the troops in North, because the LTTE is still active.

    Friday, 18 June 2010 04:59 AM

    The threat is still on....

    Friday, 18 June 2010 04:59 AM

Clear indication that the govt needs to get on with winning the hearts and minds of the Tamil people and provide a lasting solution and not celebrating the military victories.

    Friday, 18 June 2010 05:00 AM

need more security focus on activities of LTTE in and out of sri lanka to safe Guard of the Nation in future

    Friday, 18 June 2010 05:13 AM

please withdraw Sinhalese soldiers from Muslim lands in the North and East.

    Friday, 18 June 2010 05:30 AM

if the LTTE is still active then why are you celebrating the "V-Day".

    Friday, 18 June 2010 05:38 AM

I am sure you are not a Muslim of Sri Lanka and disguising under yourself under this name.
No muslims ever said "Sinhalese Soldiers". Everyone knows what LTTE did for us and how SL Soldiers saved us

    Friday, 18 June 2010 06:08 AM

The way the northerners have been resettled or not has been shabby at best. This is a cry for help.

    Friday, 18 June 2010 06:19 AM

because we WON - now celebrate!

    Friday, 18 June 2010 06:29 AM

if you address the underlying cause as to why LTTE came about there is no need to fear?
unfortunately even the presidents speech did not address it so here we go again

    Friday, 18 June 2010 06:39 AM

hey, we are trying to get rid of racism. drop that attitude and work towards it :P

    Friday, 18 June 2010 07:10 AM

In spite of all the Security measures (even to the detriment and annoyance of the innocent ordinary folk), arrests, harsh punishments etc several extremists organisations operate undeterred in USA, UK etc. Same applies to LTTE in Sri Lanka and abroad. We need to maintain security and close monitoring at least for another decade. The Police are overstreatched, so we need to keep troops deployed. Easing all controls will be a regrettable error.

    Friday, 18 June 2010 07:16 AM

Satisfy the aspirations of the ordinary Tamils, to avoid a repeat of earlier LTTE threat to the nation.
SATISFIED PEOPLE WILL NEVER REBEL AGAINST ANY AUTHORITIES
