Kurunegala SSP Vass Guanwardene has ordered all police stations in his area to arrest those who have warrants against them. According to the police 70 suspects were arrested for various crimes during this operation.

The police also said that 12 others were arrested for producing illicit liquor. The suspects are to be produced before the court. (Daily Mirror online)
