Another landslide in Haldummulla

A five-acre rubber land had been destroyed in a landslide reported in Damminiyathenna, Haldummulla this morning, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) said.

However, DMC Spokesman Pradeep Kodippili said no casualties were reported in the incident but they have already sent a team of officers to the location.

“As far as we know, no houses were destroyed in the landslide,” he said.

Meanwhile the Air Force said Bell 412 helicopter from SLAF Base Rathmalana had carried out a reconnaissance operation over the landslide effected Haldummulla area.(Saman Palitha)
