Another Deputy Minister appointed

UPFA Nuwara-Eliya MP V.S. Radhakrishnan was sworn in as the Deputy Minister of Botanical Gardens and Public Recreation before President Mahinda Rajapaksa this morning, Presidential Secretariat said.

Earlier, parliamentarian Praba Ganeshan was sworn in as the Deputy Minister of Telecommunication and Information Technology while P. Digambaram was sworn in as the Deputy Minister of National Languages and Social Integration on August 21.

Deputy Economic Development Minister S.M.Chandrasena was sworn in as a Cabinet Minister for Special Projects in November 2013 while another nine UPFA parliamentarians were sworn in as Deputy Ministers in October same year.

Currently, there are ten Senior Ministers, 57-Cabinet Ministers, 41-Deputy Ministers and two Project Ministers.

    20 cabinet ministers and 20 deputy ministers are more than enough for a country like Srilanka. The country has to spend more money to maintain these ministries. People will vote only for a person who promises to appoint this number at the next election. via DM Android App
