A video clip showing a policeman assaulting a woman with a cane near the Ratnapura Bus Stand has gone viral.
Around three weeks ago, two women got into a brawl. A policeman on duty tried to pull them apart in order to restore normalcy. Angered by the policeman’s interference, one of the women threw a stone at the police officer. The policeman had retaliated by assaulting the woman with a stick.
An eyewitness has videoed the drama that had taken place with the help of the video camera on his phone and had then uploaded it onto the internet. Police investigations were in progress. (Lasantha Niroshana)

You can not beat any one , you just have to cuff them and taken them to the police in case if its difficult to stop...no one has any right to beat anyone...specially a woman.
Also these women are very third class, how the XXX you throw a rock at a policeman who is trying to stop a fight she should be taken to courts for this and given required punishment.

What the woman did was wrong. What the cop did was worse. As a man of power, one needs to be more responsible.
