A popular film actor tutned politician has been ordered to appear before the Katugastota police over a complaint lodged by a woman alleging that he had promised to marry her and had in the process obtained Rs. one lack from her only to later go missing, the police said.
According to the complaint, when she had demanded that he marry her, the actor had threatened her and refused to return the money.
The Police acting on this complaint had advised the actor to appear before the police to record a statement but he had failed to do so despite repeated summons being issued. He has now been ordered again to appear before the police next week. (Daily Mirror online)

All politicians are actors. If this actor is from the opposition, there will be a full investigation. Otherwise, nothing will happen.
