The 3-year old child who was abducted from Buttala by two men last Thursday evening was found in Ampara this evening, police spokesman SP Preshantha Jayakody told Daily Mirror online. He added that the child was in good health and unharmed.
The child was found in Ampara by a special police team deployed to investigate the matter, after a complaint was made by the child’s parents.
The abductors had taken away the child promising that he would be given sweets. It is believed that the reason for the kidnapping was due to a longstanding money dispute which the abductors had with the parents of the child.

Capital punishment in public is the way to avoid abduction in our country

Please punish these morons according to the law. I don't know what are the provisions of our law for this, but I'm sure either its not enough or not properly activating. Because these things continually happen. Media also only report about the crime, they do not report on the punishment the culprits got unless the wrong doors are murdered by the other party. So people tend to think only thuggery is prevailing in the country.
