In 1994 when we sat for AL s , we too were fettered by the general election, during this election period there will surely be many pandemoniums which will in return distract students. Politicians think about the next election whereas statesmen think about the next generation, we lack the latter mentioned sadly.

Totally unacceptable Totally unacceptable to hold general elections during the ALs exam period - this shows the authorities scant respect for the education system in SL especially a very important stressful exam for student who work hard for 2-3 years for the exam.

According to a Government minister, more than 90 MPs have not passed O/L, How such people will take decisions to run a country?Current system has no room for statesmen

The elections need to be postponed at least by two months. The GCE AL should not be postponed under any circumstances. A pathetic situation. The President of the country shows scan regard for the wellbeing of the youth and the future generations of our country - the biggest asset.

This is what happens when our politicians think that their futures are decided by the stars and the planets.
