Wild elephant attacks foreign couple, man killed

A foreigner was killed and his female companion injured when a wild elephant attacked them while they were riding on a motorbike on Habarana-Sigiriya Road this afternoon, police said.

They said the man was identified as a 26-year-old Ukraine national.

The injured was admitted to the Habarana Hospital.

    In Habarana on a motorbike? Unlike humans, elephants are not racist. White, yellow, brown or black, for them it is all the same. A great and majestic animal. Keep away from its habitat.
