The UNP suspended the party membership of 37 Pradeshiya Sabha members and commenced disciplinary inquiries against them today.
Legal Secretary UNP Nissanka Nanayakakra told Daily Mirror that the membership of these 37 members were suspended as there were allegations that they were working for other parties while being in the UNP.
“We will carry out disciplinary inquiries on these members and remove them from the party if found guilty,” he said.
The UNP already removed more than 100 members including 54 candidates who are contesting from the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB). (Yohan Perera)

Why only 37? you have thousands who are against your dictatorial system, get rid of them all. After election you will not have many remaining.
