    From where are they coming?

John Stewart Wednesday, 27 May 2020 09:09 AM

I think most of them are expats who have been repatriated, including a large number from Kuwait.

Why weren’t the returnees checked before they came? Skews the Sri Lanka numbers! And also ruins the chances of other returnees and tourists waiting to come!

And the government will tell us that all cases within the navy and returnees from the Middle East and no cases within the society. All people can room freely the country and specially travel to the polling centers.

Govt. seems to lose the battle against Covid 19 due to irresponsible decisions taken to bring Sri Lankan’s stranded in Covid 19 prevalent countries! You can’t play politics with Covid 19 !!

    Vigilante Wednesday, 27 May 2020 02:10 PM

Urgent/Important All returnees should be PCR tested before Coming and boarding flights and not mixed with everyone Else coming on a flight ! Ideally positive cases should be looked after by the country they are working in if not brought in a separate flight with all necessary safeguards In place until arrival and sent for treatment here straight away and not mixed with other Persons being sent to quarantine. Also we Need to be extra vigilant as we maybe importing virulent strains and that will affect Sri Lanka’a Critical and death rates in the long term if there is another cluster or wave. Unfortunately Sri Lanka numbers have got skewed anyway now due to repatriating large numbers of infected - A superficial look shows that Sri Lanka numbers are going up and up and as if there is no control or proper management.
