Three people were killed and nineteen others were injured when a Colombo bound bus from Vavuniya, skidded off the road and crashed into a transformer at Mahawewa Junction in Marawila early this morning.
Police said three women were among the injured and they were admitted to the Marawila Hospital.

Knocking down a power transformer is not the way to complete your final journey. But the local reckless bus drivers didn't agree with it ! If it wasn't the power transformer in the way it could have been an innocent bystander.

Absolutely a waste of time in making complain as the law enforcement authorities fails to charge these errant drivers. We see so many such cases during the morning hours and the law enforcement officers turns a blind eye because their aim is to some or how clear the traffic. Thus neglecting and risking so many valuable lives
