The anticipatory bail application filed by Colombo's former chief judicial medical officer Ananda Samarasekera, seeking court to prevent his arrest in connection with Wasim Thajudeen’s missing body parts, was today rejected by Colombo Additional Magistrate Dulani Amarasinghe. (Shehan Chamika Silva)

Anticipatory bail must be outlawed. Unless you are a crook, how can you anticipate bail for a specifc crime - that is virtually accepting your guilt.

This ex-JMO is not acting like amateur. He is a seasoned professional and jolly well know what he is doing. Only thing is that he has got exposed as a participant in the cover up.

Now police get him in. Why waiting? Get the answers how this has happen. I feel sorry for the family. Every time someone mention about body parts, I am sure the family is going through pain. Bring the justice ASAP.

HURRAH !Hats off to our Judiciary. Now the Police can arrest him and look him up. This is a Non-bailable offense, hence he too is going to rot in remand prison. He is a corrupt government officila and needs to be punished,
varunaas Thursday, 15 September 2016 05:10 PM
Very correct and one of the main concerns that I too have! If someone has committed an offence that require him/her to be remanded, should there be a law to prohibit it? I am too bewildered !!!
