Swiss Embassy local staffer Garnier Banister Francis was released on bail by the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court today.
She was released on two sureties of Rs.500,000 each.
She was arrested and remanded on December 16 for providing fabricated statements to the CID over an alleged abduction. (Yoshitha Perera)

Hope they will stop her leaving the country until the court case is finished and she is found guilty of lying and bringing the country into disrepute. This should be a lesson to others too.

To end the case, the Swiss should give her Swiss citizenship and a diplomatic passport. Because contrary to US citizenship, Sri Lankan citizenship automatically finishes if one accept another. Gota can confirm this because he still hasn't been released from US citizenship by the US State Department.
