The State University examinations scheduled to be held during the weekend have been postponed until further notice because of strike action by non-academic staff, University Grants Commission said today.

The Chairman's office of the UGC said exams in the several universities including Colombo University has been postponed due to the strike action.

The non-academic staff stopped work early this week demanding a salary increase.

The candidates have been inconvienced because of the sudden postponements of the examination. (Thilanka Kanakarathna)

state university students are most of the study time on roads for protests.what exam they can pass?.even pass without knowledge no private sector give them job because companies know they know only to destroy.

In our company we interview without bios both state university engineering graduates and privately educated engineering students. There is no comparison between them, the privately educated employees are streets ahead. We interview without bios, but it is rare a state grad wins a slot.

We hate campus student, but they are victims of Student Unions who carry out orders of opportunists in the guise of Politics. They are screaming to to get out of the Campus, so that they start a new life. But when will it be???
