The Supreme Court has ruled that the Inland Revenue (Amendment) Bill requires a referendum to be passed in parliament unless certain provisions are amended, as some sections of the Bill are not in accordance with the Constitution, Speaker Karu Jayasuriya informed Parliament today.

This incompetence is absolutely shocking. How can you have so many Acts and Bills which are against the constitution, and still remain in power ?
