His hair style was a unique one. .he made the second version of the Sri Lanka's first film Kadawunu porinduwa in early 1980 s. He reached to the climax during the golden era of our silver screen. His marriage is an example to the modern day artists. Both lived happily till the end. Good bye Roy. !

Don't know he knows Sanath Jayasuriya. Roy De Silva is an old director but the new generation especially minorities. I have watched his films in T.V. His character is not boring.

His Cherio series of movies were the only ones I watched in a cinema as a child. They were hilarious. Later I was told those were copies of low budget Carry On series. But I think Roy was able to very successfully adapt them into the Sinhala Comedy cinema.
