whatever the situation and sensation may be, refusing to hoist the national flag is totally wrong, leave alone, judicial side. a parliamentarian, taken oath, as a srilankan, he should honour the national flag. in india, there are thousands of political parties with various ideologies, but they never refuse to salute the national flag.penny wise and pound foolish. in this way, tamils cannot get close to the sinhalese . the enmity will widen. only the poor and innocent tamil citizens will be affected. the tamil leader's act is childish, with one hand they will pinch the child, and with another hand they will rock the cradle.

They will in all probability respect the Sri Lankan flag if true reconciliation happens including a flag that best demonstrates equality instead of Sinhala egoism.

No need AG 's advise . If anyone cannot hoist the National flag and sing the National anthem in the country due to racist intention you need to hang them..

    Arnold Monday, 20 November 2017 06:11 PM

This means reconciliation has not been successful yet.

If Sri Lanka was bigger we could have given these buggers their eelam, chase away the remaining traitors too and live here peacefully. Unfortunately we been a tiny island even cant do that.

Lets have a debate mate. They say that their kings were defeated and captured by the Europeans and given to us in a platter in good faith that we will treat them fairly. If we don't those gave us in platter will come back in a different way and then we can't live here peacefully.
