Power, Energy and Business Development Minister Ravi Karunanayake provided statements to the CID unit attached to the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) on irregularities at SriLankan Airlines, SriLankan Catering and Mihin Lanka today.
Earlier this month, Highways, Road Development and Petroleum Resources Development Minister Kabir Hashim also provided statements to the CID unit for over three hours.
In August last year, Defence Secretary and founding Director of Mihin Lanka (as well as being the former Secretary to former President Mahinda Rajapaksa), Gotabaya Rajapaksa, along with Lalith Weeratunga, the former Secretary to the Treasury Dr. PB Jayasundara and former CEO of Mihin Lanka, Sajin de Vaas Gunawardena also provided similar statements to the Police Unit attached to the Commission.
The former Chairmen of SriLankan Airlines Ajith Dias, Nishantha Wickramasinghe, former CEO of SriLankan Kapila Chandrasena and former Sri Lankan High Commissioner to UK and former Director of SriLankan had provided their statements to the police unit in August last year. (Yoshitha Perera)
